This wonderful old picture is believed to be of activity at Middlesbrough ABC looking across the river towards what we would now say was part of ICI Billingham. Note the pontoon style landings, the staggered seat fours with fixed pin riggers in the foreground, the almost modern looking shell scull and the boatman helping the sculler.
