Kate O’Sullivan – BR Medal of Honour 2024

British Rowing announced their awards for 2024 on December 20th

And Tees RC’s Kate O’Sullivan was awarded the British Rowing Medal of Honour!

The British Rowing Medal of Honour is a prestigious award, first introduced in 1987, recognizing outstanding service to the sport of rowing.

It is awarded for significant contributions and dedication to the sport, with past recipients including notable figures like Dame Katherine Grainger, Sir Steve Redgrave, Sir Matthew Pinsent and Tees RC’s Chris Kenyon, who was awarded the medal in 1994.

Congratulations to Kate for this much deserved recognition of all that she has done for the sport over her years of service at both TRC and the wider rowing community, not least her time as deputy Chair of the BR board.

The awards were presented to the recipients at a ceremony in February 2025 and the photo shows Kate receiving her medal from Tokyo 2020 silver medalist Jack Beaumont .
