Masters Rowing starts at 27!
In rowing, the “Masters” age category begins in the year a rower turns 27, with categories ranging from A (27+) to M (89+)
But don’t let the age thing fool you, Masters Rowing can be extremely competitive with racing handicaps in place to level the playing field.
At Tees RC we have a thriving Masters community of both Men and Women, with crews of all abilities regularly taking part in competitions across the UK and beyond.
Our crews range from those who win medals at World Masters, to those who prefer to include a social angle to their rowing.
Once you’ve found your feet at Tees, you’ll be able to make your way to a group that best matches your rowing aspirations.

And there are different boat sizes and classes on offer.
Some groups prefer to scull, in singles, doubles and quads.
While others head for sweep in the larger crew boats.
Whatever your preference, we will find you a home at Tees RC.
