New to Rowing?

If you’re new to rowing, you’ll need to take part in one of our Learn to Row courses before joining the club on the water.

These fun, friendly sessions are designed to teach you the basics and help keep you safe – all while giving you a great introduction to the sport.

It’s also the perfect way to see if rowing is for you before committing to full membership.

Already Have Rowing Experience?

If you’ve rowed before, there’s no need to complete a Learn to Row course — but we will ask for a bit of information about your previous experience.

Other Ways to Join

There are a few other ways to become part of Tees Rowing Club, including:

  • As part of our Adaptive Rowing Squad

  • As a Cox

  • As a Recreational Rower

Each of these pathways has its own link on this page, so you can contact the relevant squad leader directly.
