Tees Regatta – A day of two halves
Tees Regatta on the 17th May 2025 saw the weather start off as breezy and overcast, making for some challenging rowing conditions. But then the sun came out at lunchtime….
and although still a little breezy at the start, the conditions at the finish were more relaxing….
There were 126 races, with 10 wins for Tees RC!
And there was a special race in memory of Eric Shiel of Cambois Rowing Club – won by Chester-le-Street:

A huge thanks to everyone who made the event possible, including the umpires – several of whom, I am told, volunteered to come to come up to Tees from the south as they’d heard great things about our catering – especially the cakes!
