A new trolley for a safer boat launch
The Return to Rowing group trialled a new method of launching the heavy L2R quads this week and it was very successful.
Notoriously difficult to lift, the L2R quads need a lot of hands to get them into and out of the water. And if there aren’t the extra helpers available things can get a little tricky.
With this light aluminium trolley, launching was a doddle. Well mostly, as it seems that the trolley floats, which is a wrinkle that we are told can be easily fixed with heavier wheels.
This trolley was loaned to Tees RC by Rowing Centre UK but it seems that it has proved the concept admirably.
Now all we have to do is move things around in the boathouse and issues with launching our L2R quads will be a thing of the past……
