Two Tees crews made the trip to historic Lincoln to compete in Division 2 of the Lincoln Head. With three boats each in the Mas GH 2x and Mas DEF 4-, there was sufficient challenge to test our form.
A blustery headwind and steady flow on the Witham would make us feel every metre of the 3.5km course.
Against a particularly strong wind off the start, the coxless four of Ian, Bense, Steve and Chris thought the chasing Derwent D crew were closing, but a couple of spins had us pulling away to eventual win by 26 seconds (45 on handicap).
In the same challenging conditions Dick and Mike worked hard to chase down the other doubles in their category, ultimately losing out by a minute.
