Scheduled for the 7th February but called off part way through owing to adverse river conditions. The event was rerun on February 28th in somewhat chilly weather as can be judged from our well wrapped up competitors.
Now a regular event for us here are a some shots of this year's Tees participants:
A two trailer day: the men here at Tyne, the girls at The Women's Head in London.
On a lovely sunny Spring day The Mayor of Stockton-on-Tees, Ann Cains, named our Project Oarsome boats.
In April a team of our juniors rowed continuously for 24 hours on Indoor Rowing Machines. They covered a total distance of 615 km (384 miles), the equivalent of rowing across the Noth Sea from Teesport to Esjberg in Denmark. Over £500 was raied for the Sir Steve Redgrave Charitable Trust.
Traditionally the opening regatta of the season for Tees RC. We enjoyed a warm sunny day and two wins.
Some excellent and encouraging performances at this two day event - particularly from the Juniors.
We had three wins at this event - here are photos of two of them:
Despite horrendously changeable weather, traffic incidents meaning numerous crew scratchings and timetable changes, Talkin Tarn was yet again a superb regatta. Tees members turned out in force and took home a good handful of pots...
Proving that rowing doesn't always have to be serious...
To celebrate David Inman's last day with the club, the juniors had a scratch regatta... Two teams: Surfers vs Lucinda (It'll become obvious where the names came from).

Thanks to those who helped to make this a great day and a great year for Junior rowing at Tees - you know who you are.... The smiles tell me that your hard work is much apppreciated...
