Open Topping Bunn ?

Julian Bunn, a fit day-time athlete is attempting to break the Indoor Rowing Marathon Record next weekend at The Open Dutch Championship ErgoMarathon in Asten, near Eindhoven.
Julian narrowly missed the record recently by 30 secs.
We wish him good fortune.

Indoor rowing

Steve Barker, Janet and the juniors came up trumps in organising a cracking indoor event on Sunday 12th February. Ice kept us off the water so we were unable to run the monthly minihead but forty participants had a fun yet competitive row on the ergs. Teams of four did 2k relays, 1k individual and 1k races on sliders. Boy oh boy did the hall warm up with people working hard. Colin Bearpark sorted out the electronic link to the computer for the 1k individual race and the event could be watched on the wall projection. This was a dry run for our corporate indoor race on 31st March.

Meanwhile resting teams were shown by Chris Kenyon and Janet how to set rigging.

Remember the annual dinner will be on the 21st April.

AGM

Our 65th AGM will take place at 7:30pm on Tuesday 21st February in the Riverside Room at RTWC.
The kitchen & bar will both be open.

All members should have received notification by email (or royal mail for those who "don't internet") of the documents avaiable, if you have not, then please contact a committee member who'll be happy to assist you in obtaining them.
