Indoor rowing

Steve Barker, Janet and the juniors came up trumps in organising a cracking indoor event on Sunday 12th February. Ice kept us off the water so we were unable to run the monthly minihead but forty participants had a fun yet competitive row on the ergs. Teams of four did 2k relays, 1k individual and 1k races on sliders. Boy oh boy did the hall warm up with people working hard. Julian Bunn, a fit day-time athlete is attempting to break the Indoor Rowing Marathon Record next weekend at The Open Dutch Championship ErgoMarathon in Asten, near Eindhoven.Julian narrowly missed the record recently by 30 secs.We wish him good fortune....
