Small Boats Head & Long Distance Sculls

These two major events are held by the Club on the same day. First is the Long Distance Sculls. This race is one of a series of events run by the Northern Rowing Council with races taking place at various clubs in the region. Apart from the winners of the individual races an overall winner is announced at the end of the series. At Tees RC the race takes place in October and is 5000 metres long from the (Queen Elizabeth Way) road over the Tees (the Jubilee Bridge) into Ingleby Barwick to the Millennium Footbridge in Stockton.

In the afternoon and over the same course Tees RC runs the Tees Small Boats Head.  This enables competitors, some of whom have traveled along way, to get two good races in over the day, allowing them to go home tired but happy!
